The Archaeological Divers Association is a non-profit division of Underwater Science Ltd, that specialises in the unique sub-discipline of Underwater Archaeology, and includes archaeologists trained in the use of SCUBA equipment for the purposes of survey and recording of archaeological sites, as well as the specific competencies required for excavation and conservation only when deemed necessary by a formed and recognised project plan for the benefit of the underwater cultural heritage.

Training Recreational & Professional Divers, Archaeological and Scientific Students in Underwater archaeology and it's Diving Methodology.

As well as professional archaeologists, the ADA utilise ‘recreational’ divers that have been trained in the same principles of underwater archaeology, to a standardised syllabus, to assist in larger projects on a ‘volunteer’ basis; similar to terrestrial projects that open excavations and recording to individuals who complete archaeology as a hobby. This standardisation of training is a fundamental basic that creates a safe and enjoyable working environment, with all project participants working to one standard goal.
