includes individuals trained in the use of SCUBA equipment for the
purposes of survey and recording of our cultural heritage and underwater environment sites. The new Association membership page can be found at: www.armet-divers.org

The main ethos of the ARMET Divers Association is to train and work closely with recreational’ divers in the same principles of underwater archaeology projects as professional archaeologists and this standardisation of training is a fundamental basic that creates a safe and enjoyable diving and project environment, with all participants working to one standard goal as a unified team. We are currently starting the training (winter) period for the 2011 season, with several UK and overseas projects planned for 2011 and beyond, including the Ouse Valley Survey and the Weymouth Archaeological Survey Project (WASP). We are also proud to be associated with the Sea Cadet Corps and are currently working with the National Diver Training Team in Liverpool. Our main effort for academic training is a standardised, unit specific, training course for closed circuit rebreathers and their place in the ARMET diving community.
