Ocean Turtle Diving, in partnership with ADA(UK) have written the uniqueArchaeological Support Diver Specialty, for PADI Divers.
Under the HSE Guidelines, divers must hold a CMAS 2 Star Divers Award (I.e. Have completed training in open water rescue techniques), or equivalent before registering for the full ADA(UK) Archaeological Divers Award. As a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you can start your Archaeological Divers Award early by completing the PADI Speciality Award with Ocean Turtle. If you already hold the PADI Rescue Diver Award, then you can complete either the theory and practical sessions with ADA(UK) or make a start with the PADI Speciality.
Once you have registered as an ADA(UK) Student Member and completed the PADI Speciality Award, ADA(UK) will not charge an APEL Fee for the recognition of your training, as Ocean Turtle Instructors have the authority to sign your ADA(UK) training objectives record sheet. Alternatively, upon completion of your PADI Rescue Divers Award, send copies of the qualifications to ADA(UK) and you will have completed your first set of training objectives, accelerating you towards the achievement of the full award.
