Level 2 - Archaeological Support Divers Award (ASDA)

This four-day course, normally taken Monday-Thursday, covers the more
practical aspects of underwater archaeology. Dry practical sessions
include site
planning and drawing, as well as the principles of non-intrusive survey
work. There are confined and open water sessions on equipment configurations and the use of Full Face Masks as well as open water dives, looking at more detailed surveys of underwater features, including the use of 3D-GIS (Site Recorder 4) for drawing up.
It
is very
popular amongst undergraduate students wishing to continue their
underwater archaeology training as well as already qualified
recreational divers wishing to participate in this unique science of
investigation and to start diving with a purpose. The Level 2
