The Aims and Objects of the Archaeological Divers Association are:

  1. To deliver professional underwater archaeological sciences in a diverse range of settings;
  2. To provide advice and guidance to members and other professional and recreational bodies on issues relating to underwater archaeological sciences;
  3. To promote understanding of the underwater Cultural Heritage;
  4. To advance the knowledge and understanding of the Underwater Cultural Heritage;
  5. To represent all personnel and associates allied to the unique sub-discipline of underwater archaeology whatever their professional branch of science;
  6. To recruit new members for the Archaeological Divers Association;
  7. To promote Archaeological and Scientific Diving in accordance within current Guidelines;
  8. To designing and develop courses in underwater archaeology and associated scientific disciplines to facilitate the safe retrieval and collection of archaeological and scientific survey data;
  9. To supply training facilities for Archaeological, Scientific and Technical Diving;
  10. To provide and maintain facilities for the provision of training in Archaeological, Scientific and Technical Diving;
  11. To employ contractors, subcontractors and a professional team as necessary to assist with or carry out the company’s objectives;
  12. To vend products in order to generate income for the Association and its Projects.

The ADA is a trading name and division of Underwater Science Ltd

Earnings over current expenditure will be dedicated to the continued promotion of the Objects set out above, either through the Archaeological Divers Association (ADA) or through other entities at the discretion of the Directors and Association Trustees.

The ADA is a not-for profit division of Underwater Science Ltd. All income generated by the association is used for archaeological and scientific training and projects purposes and profits are not drawn as dividends by the Directors of the parent company.
