(Coming Soon)

ADA(UK) is now planning a long-term Diving Project of DIVERNET's 100 Best Ship Wrecks of the United Kingdom.  This project will encompass all the beliefs and ethics of underwater archaeology in a holistic plan to map those wrecks that the diving population of the UK holds closest to its heart.  The project will culminate in the publication of every survey report that is compiled to ADA(UK) Standards for archaeological reporting.  The publication will be in the form of a 'Coffee-table' book format, probably A3 sized.  Inside will be all the maps, plans and surveys from the wreck sites and lists and publicity for all the divers and organisations involvedEvery diver who has participated will be listed and pictures taken by divers on each of the wrecks will be used and accredited to those participants that took them.

Any ADA(UK) Member can participate, and divers will be encouraged to complete their own projects under the auspices of a Dive Supervisor.  For student members still in training, they can participate in any project that is being completed by the ADA(UK) Directing Staff around the UK.
The wrecks are spread out all over the UK from Plymouth and the Isle of Wight to Scotland and the Orkney Islands.

Interested and suitably qualified personnel who are interested in forming satellite ADA(UK) Diving Groups who would like to complete specific wrecks in their locale should contact the ADA(UK) for advice and guidance.

For non-ADA(UK) Members who have already dived these wonderful sites, you are more than welcome to submit survey data, photos and stories of the 100 Wrecks for inclusion in the book.  The project is open to all!

We are also looking for interested publishers, although we have already had several offers for the final survey reports and publicity in book format.  If you are interested in sponsoring the 100 Wrecks Survey for publicity and product placement, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
